Welcome to Marking Period 2!

8th Grade Digital Art:

     Essential Question: How does art impact our place in the world?

     Objective:  To design a CD cover in Adobe Illustrator.

     Agenda: 

Monday: Complete CD design worksheet, begin designing CD cover in Adobe Illustrator

Tuesday: (MEAPs- only 1st & 3rd hours will have class)  Work on designing CD cover in Adobe Illustrator

Wednesday: (MEAPs- only 1st & 3rd hours will have class)   Work on designing CD cover in Adobe Illustrator

Thursday: NO CLASS – ADVISORY GROUPS ALL DAY (1/2 DAY) TO PREPARE FOR CONFERENCES

Friday: CD cover designs MUST be finished and saved to a Flash drive for grading.

6th Grade Traditional Art:

     Essential Question: How do life experiences influence art?

     Objective: To create a “Zentangled” Owl with a Watercolor background.

     Agenda:

Monday: Learn painting procedures.  Paint watercolor background.

Tuesday: (MEAPs in the AM, 1st, 2nd & 3rd hours in the PM)  Work on outlining Zentangled Owls with sharpie.

Wednesday: (MEAPs in the AM, 1st, 2nd & 3rd hours in the PM)  Work on outlining Zentangled Owls with sharpie.  Cut out owls and glue onto Watercolor backgrounds.

Thursday: NO CLASS – ADVISORY GROUPS ALL DAY (1/2 DAY) TO PREPARE FOR CONFERENCES

Friday: Go to computer lab.  Choose a cartoon for next assignment.  Find an image of it and save it to a flash drive.  Get grid put on top of the cartoon. Print out.

6th Grade Digital Art:

     Essential Question: How do life experiences influence art?

     Objective: To learn about outdoor sculpture artists.

     Agenda:

Monday: Complete worksheet on Claes Oldenburg.

Tuesday: (MEAPs- only 1st, 2nd & 3rd hours will have class-no 5th hour)

Wednesday: (MEAPs- only 1st, 2nd & 3rd hours will have class-no 5th hour)

Thursday: NO CLASS – ADVISORY GROUPS ALL DAY (1/2 DAY) TO PREPARE FOR CONFERENCES

Friday: Complete worksheet on Andy Goldsworthy.
