Agenda:
Monday: Review homework, discussion and demo of painting project, create pattern and repeat it on paper.
Tuesday: Students will learn color theory and will practice mixing paints.
Wednesday: Students will work on painting their designs.
Thursday: Students will work on their paintings.
Friday: Students will work on their paintings.

6th Grade Art: 2nd and 3rd hours
Essential Question: How do life experiences influence art?
Content Standards:
ART.VA.I.6.2 Develop the concept of proper use of art materials and using tools safely and responsibly.
ART.VA.I.6.3 Develop a successful visual vocabulary.
ART.VA.III.6.2 Develop the skill of interpreting artwork, searching for embedded meaning, function, and personal connections at a developing level.
Objective: Students will learn about James Rizzi and will create an image in his style.
Agenda:
Monday: Review homework, students will view a powerpoint about James Rizzi. Students will draw their designs.
Tuesday: Students will begin coloring their projects with oil pastels.
Wednesday: Students will work on their Rizzi projects.
Thursday: Students will work on their Rizzi projects
Friday: Students will finish their Rizzi projects and complete a self evaluation.

Objective: Students will learn about social justice issues and will create a poster that displays a social issue of their choice.
Agenda:
Monday: Review homework, demo and discussion of social justice issues. Students will pick a topic, do some research and decide what they how they want to make their poster.
Tuesday: Students will work on their social justice posters.
Wednesday: Students will work on their social justice posters.
Thursday: Students will work on their social justice posters.
Friday: Students finish their social justice posters and will complete a self-assessment
